NEW SONG 'DIRTY GLOW' UPLOADED
This is the first publicly released song from the follow-up album to last year's 'A Handful Of Hurricanes'.
BIOGRAPHY
After her debut album, 'A Handful Of Hurricanes', out in February, was met with much critical acclaim, One Little Indian release a brand new single from ROSE KEMP. The single, 'Little One', released on 30th April 2007 is the opener for her full length debut. Produced by Charlie Francis (REM, Wilco, Turin Brakes), 'Little One' is a widescreen soundscape of heavy riffs and stark intimate breaks, with Rose's distinctive bare vocals cutting across.
'Little One' is the second single to be taken from the album, following the release of 'Violence' in November 2006, which found fans at Radio 1, Radio 2, 6Music and Kerrang Radio. The radio support came after You Tube placed Rose in their All Time Top 15 video chart with the video for the track, a short film directed by fellow Bristol artists Francois and Rozi Plain, and so conceptually brilliant, it wouldn't have embarrassed Bjork or Radiohead. The track also reached No.8 in the Myspace Chart.
The daughter of folk-rock royalty Maddy Prior and Rick Kemp from Steeleye Span, Rose was brought up on an unlikely mix of hip hop and drum'n'bass, thanks to an older brother, Paul Simon, Randy Newman and Emmie Lou from her Mum, and John Fogerty, Little Feet and Bonnie Raitt from her Dad. To the mix, she brought her own influences ranging from The Birthday Party to Bonnie Prince Billy to Godspeed to Biffy Clyro. The results have brought comparisons to Regina Spektor and PJ Harvey, and earned her support slots with The Subways, Duke Special and King Creosote, amongst others.

Opus Flume, May 24, 2008:
Great songs - I think "little one" is my favourite.... for the moment... must listen again.
- 5 days later - Yes, "little one" & also "dirty glow", "orange juice" & the absolutely magical "morning music". In fact, I love them all.
Gagosian Liga, May 23, 2008:
