Rutland Manor is the co-founder and breed developer of the ASD Australian Labradoodle. They have been developing this loving, intuitive and intelligent breed for the past two decades. Their work has changed countless lives in that time by providing non-shedding, allergen free service dogs and companions to families all around the world.

Today, Rutland Manor is in danger of being closed permanently due to the greed of a local council. They are eager to evict Rutland Manor off of property that is rightfully theirs so that they can make more money off of the land as a residential development. The local council is playing very unfairly, even threatening Beverley Manners, RM's owner and operator, with heavy fines or even jail time. Beverley is nearing 70 years in age!

From my own experience, Beverley Manners is a compassionate and dedicated woman who seeks only to better the breed she loves so dearly, and to help those around her. Over the past two decades, Beverley has donated countless Labradoodles to groups who have trained them as service dogs for the disabled. She has donated large portions of Rutland Manor's profits to fund clean water efforts in Africa.

It's very rare to run across someone so deserving of assistance. It's even less common when you can help someone by signing your name. That is all that's needed. Sign your name, stand up to a greedy bully and save a woman's life work. Enable her to continue helping hundreds of people each year.

It was great to see all of my cousins with their children. Doesn't seem like it was that long ago we were he kids running around screaming and being crazy.

I really love this picture. It shows how happy this little family really is.

We have a little Halloween Village that actually stays up year round. When we were in OKC on my birthday, we picked up some of the accessories that help the little houses feel like a real village. We got some trees, fences, grass, pavement, etc. So I got it all set up and I think it looks great! It makes me smile. :)

Starting last year, we're doing a Halloween tree just for fun. Brian's sister, Monica, gave me a gift certificate to North Pole City in OKC. They carry everything Christmas, and some really neat Halloween ornaments, which are hard to find. We went up there earlier in the week and I picked up a bunch of new ornaments with my birthday loot! Thanks Monica! :)

Seeing as how the Halloween tree has yet to catch on, it's impossible to find a skirt for the tree. Having a fake tree, I need a skirt to cover the metal base because it's just ugly.

So I improvised! I went to Wal-Mart and picked up a few yards of solid orange fabric and then a few yards of this pretty sheer fabric with spider webs running through it. Put the two together and you have a really interesting skirt around the tree. It's perfect! :)
