QUESTION (btw when is the Office coming back....I actually MISS Dwight)
Who else had an AMAZING time at NewSpring Sunday!?
I don't think it was necessarily one thing that made Sunday such a good experience. It may have been the teaching, or taking a stand for God's will with BROTHERS* and SISTERS*, or the fantabulous worship...it was probably a dash of this and a pinch of that
or the whole thing...whatever.
It wasn't just ONE thing. It was a bunch of things working TOGETHER that made Sunday so awesome...it's what makes our Gatherings every Sunday awesome...it's a model of what we should be doing Mon- Sat.
Working TOGETHER
Helping ONE ANOTHER (even if we aren't with people who are dedicated to the will of God, we should still work TOGETHER by doing whatever we do for the glory of God)
I feel like Sunday was an explosion of ideas for me. Like I got a lot out of it. I have A LOT to give back. To give, period.
Each one of us does.
I was especially aware of my connection to the lives of others while I was waiting to take communion.
I would see people I knew also in line...
We often hear the southern Baptist stereotype of saying brother and sister to people within our church...like many things, it probably started out as a good thing, but got less genuine as time went on.
Sunday I was more aware of my relationship with people. Inside and outside our gatherings.
Would we NOT BE BROTHERS + SISTERS if Christ had not unified us?
What a beautiful thing! That Christ, in bringing us together with Him and the Father, allowed us to have greater
deeper
more complete
more powerful
relationships with others.
What a BEAUTIFUL thing!
How can we get ourselves out of the way enough, to realize this relationship, this belonging, this connection, this love that we can share with ANYBODY
right here. right NOW.
It'll take some grace + peace. It'll take some Jesus in you.
Just something to think about. Just something holy and beautiful to realize. That this is the NEW reality.
Grace&Peace.
