Yesterday a group of us guys got together to build a ramp for an elderly lady in Anderson. She's having hip-replacement surgery soon and needed an easier way to get into her house.
Anyway, soon after beginning the project, my friend Matt is injured by a post-hole digger going through his shoe and curring across his big toe.
Later, after his wound was dressed and we had finished the project, he described to me how it felt. He said it really wasn't that big of a deal because he has a high pain threshold. The only bad thing about this, he said, was that because of the high pain threshold he can't tell how bad some injuries can be.
This got me thinking:
Do some of us have really high pain thresholds when it comes to emotional and spiritual injuries? Do we just take a lot of junk or a really bad hit without realizing HOW BAD IT REALLY IS?
More converstaion on this to come...
