RypTide began experimenting in 1999 with various electronic dance music genres, before discovering and falling in love with ith the psytrance/goa sound in the summer of 2000. Since then, he has been working hard to push his own unique sound, as well specifically pushing the psytrance/goa experience in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. Over the years, RypTide has branched out into all sorts of music in all sorts of settings, and what was once a simple DJ set has become remixing, rearranging, decomposition and composition, all done live and on the fly from sampled and live hardware and software sources.
Depending on the setting, you can expect the following from a RypTide set; an eclectic mix of anything including dark and twisted psytrance, house, downtempo, psydub, ambient, electro, minimal, breaks, techno, indie electronica, pop, punk, rock and whatever else he can get his hands on.

At least my laptop didn’t crash halfway through …
