My name is Emmanuel Vivenot and I am a self-learning photoreporter born in Annecy, France on January 22nd, 1979.
I've come to this through my army experience, and by reading the books of a french war photographer : Patrick Chauvel, who gave me the will to fight for this job with his "Rapporteur de Guerre" and "Sky".
I am mainly working with military-focussed french magazines since January 2006, and I've made a few reports including elite units like mountain commandos and parajumpers. I went to Afghanistan in July 2007, which was my first trip both outside Europe, in a muslim country and in a warzone.
This was an amazing experience, and I can't wait to go back in this country. I like to work with the militaries, but I wish someday to travel the world and write books.
