Salvatore Caputo opened his Paris-based photo studio in July 2007 with the mentoring of well known photographer Peter Knaup.
Born in 1969 in Calabria Italy Salvatore Caputo began his career in fashion at an early age. He was a model and then a stylist who worked with photographer Annette Aurell. His work was seen regularly in the prominent fashion and style magazines of the nineties including The Face, Depeche Mode, ID, Spin, and Jalouse among others.
Caputo's approach is fresh and inventive. His intuitive nature makes its presence felt in sensual works that mix the resonant influences of art photography, portraiture, fashion, and beauty.
Recent commissions include a portrait of Didier Lestrade for Rendez-vous, photos for Trax, and the 2008 calendar for the leading French gay magazine Têtu.
