About

Thank you for your interest and support in my life and writing.I have the best readers on the planet, second only to my real life friends who make me feel like I am living the plot of a really good movie every day of my life.

Minus the writing (which is mostly what I use Virb for), I'm loving life as usual. Married to my favorite sports sociopath, working at JHigh (the co-workers make the place), and living with and cleaning up after 3 guys (Chuck, John, and James). Wouldn't change it for the world.

And in even newer news, I just signed a second book contract with Zondervan, so I'm about to hit the crunch before the deadline (September 1st). Expect it to hit the shelves some time next year (specifics later)

Feel free to browse my other sites. You can also be added to my free email newsletter by emailing admin@dearchurch.com. I welcome you to drop me a message as you go.

Also, if you want to check out more of my writing, please pick up Out of the Ooze (NavPress 08) or UnChristian by David Kinnaman (Baker Press 08) for some contributions from me.

thanks for your prayers and encouragement...it means the world to me coming from anyone who claims christ as their savior...and mind you, most of my encouragement has come from people who are not christians! i hope my witness will inspire them to seek god for themselves. after all, we can do only so much before the spirit has to take over and do the real heart work!

blessings my friend!

i detest that leaving comments is the norm for communication nowdays, but i couldn't get the message function to work. so here i am.
thanks for stopping by my blog. you're spot-on about emergent. i'd love to hear from some people that can voice reasonable objections though, because the movement indeed is not completely right.
i like your book's website.... well-done with a strong message for the church that stops short of being anti-church.
so how did you like Q? i wanted to go sooo bad.... but that silly price tag was a hindrance... anyway, keep in touch!

Hey thanks for the add. Someone gave me your book and I enjoyed looking through it but haven't had time to read it with the seminary schedule. If your ever up in Seattle it would be great to have you over to school to share your thoughts and story. Currently, I am wondering what books have had the largest affect on redeeming the church, and you think might the hope that church has to offer? (Most likely stuff I can get from reading the book, so sorry) Thanks for the add, and I wish you the best.
