Been a while since I updated, so here's a big one for you.
First up, I put together a new mix. It's called "Open Fields" and is sort of inspired by the Fall. It's not a very long mix, but is nice and chill and has been good background music on my walks to work each …

Fashion Dave's bachelor party was last night and was a totally great evening. We had dinner at the rustic Saddle Peak Lodge. I had Elk for the first time and it might be my new favorite food. You can view photos of the dinner here.
Also two weekends ago I got to …

Jerry Reed died yesterday. He was 71. In terms of music, it seems most people have certain artists or bands they can attach to different time periods in their lives. I may have had a few musical chapters through my years (Johnny Cash, The Velvet Underground, Boards …

It's no secret that The Road Warrior is my favorite movie of all time. It's also no secret that Tyler Stout is one of my favorite artists. So I got a surprise ticket to high five city this morning when I discovered Tyler had created a poster of my favorite flick. I …

Went to my first Comic-Con in San Diego this weekend and had a complete blast. It was way fun to see how excited everyone was just to be there and to be showing off their costumes. Everyone was super nice. It seemed like the biggest compliment you could give these guys …

Steve Schofield's photography is worth checking out. He takes cosplayers and puts them into everyday settings, usually posing around their house. The Star Wars photos stand out the best to be, but that's to be expected I suppose.

The Los Angeles Museum of Natural History pretty much stinks as far as their diorama collection goes, but I have to give them a cornicopia of high fives for their latest "installment". Can't get over how well made that Dino costume is and you know everyone of those …

I had an awesome opportunity to take set photos during the production of a PSA for the Los Angeles Youth Network. LAYN is a great organization that provides residences, support, and care to homeless teens in LA. LAYN worked with the non-profit group, Women In Film , …

Andrea and Jules hosted a totally rad July 4th party this weekend. Amazing food, kickball, a Cornhole tournament, fireworks, sparklers. Awesome people and overall great times. One of the best July 4th's I've had. You can view photos of the day in the sun here.

Thank you, thank you Paige for this amazing video of The Showbiz Pizza Band performing Usher's "Love In The Club". And yes the entire thing is amazing. I can't recall the amount of arguements I've had over The Showbiz Pizza Band's superiority over Chuck E. Cheese's …

Star Wars Dance Off! Darth Vader killing it with The Thriller.

Jon pointed me in the direction of a cathedral in Budapest called "The Hall of Hunting". This is close to how I imagine my living room looking one day. The excess of it reminds me of the Sedlec Ossuary in Prague, aka "how I hope my second living room looks one day". I …

The best part of seeing the new Indiana Jones was getting to see the teaser trailer for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. And it's finally online.

Memorial Day is great because it's the start of the BBQ season. Hutch and Jesse threw a BBQ today with some awesome food, homemade corndogs, and a tournament of Cornhole (which I stink at). You can view photos here.

So I turned 30 today and so far it's been awesome. Shell, exceeding her normal extra-awesome-ness, threw me a surprise birthday party last night. It started when I arrived home to an empty house save a balloon and a note. It was my first clue for the evening. She had …

I'm back from a week long vacation in St. Louis visiting my folks. My dad's family from Mississippi (grandparents/aunt/uncle) were able to come up to meet Molly and stay for a few days. We had a few days just with my parents, then my grandma from mom's side flew up …

The Collings Foundation was back in Burbank for their annual, traveling WW2 Bomber show. They had a B-17, B-24, B-25, and P-51 that you could walk through, explore, etc. For a price they'd even take you up for a thirty minute ride in one the bombers. Amazing planes. …

So I got rolling on Twitter yesterday after putting it off for many moons. It's addictive as they say it is and I can mildly understand why people say it has the potential to kill blogs. You can follow my day on my own twitter feed.
In related news, apparently Cobra …
