About
SciFiSol (Christina Broussard), has nurtured a love affair with electronic music through the years
combining analog and digital synthesis and original sound design with her voice in live and recorded performances.
SciFiSol's current self-produced solo project is an experimental collage of soundscapes that
tell a story of mystery and dreams, fusing her love of the obscure with a desire to create
innovative and expressive music. Her lyrics, adapted from her poetry, seek to draw the listener into a sense
of timeless imagery that expand beyond the walls of reality and into worlds previously unknown.
Her creations embody her own unique style of electronica-- driven by
complex rhythms and textures while floating upon ambient and emotional overtones, and
featuring her voice interlaced throughout. SciFiSol's
latest release is entitled 'Psychic Wires' and available free to the public on this website.
You can find other representations of her work featured on the Buried in Time label's 'Acid Offspring' compilation. She has also contributed vocals on several releases including a Let's Go Outside track on Soma Recordings and on a track entitled 'Torrential' on the drum and bass label Freestyle Recordings and is currently working on a full length album that is planned to be finished in the summer of 2009.
