Good day to all-:)
Another day I wake and sluggishly make my way to the kitchen to quench my morning thirst and make a pot of coffee for my wife and I. Jagger (my son), still half asleep walks into the kitchen and puts his arms around my waste and says, " Good morning Dad...I love you." As I hug him and tell him the same I notice he is looking around for something. Now I remember...I forgot to let the TOOTH FAIRY in last night. wink,wink,-:) See, Jagger lost a tooth yesterday, and was fully expecting to wake and find some CASH under his pillow....but he didn't...so he asks me if I think the TOOTH FAIRY might have forgotten about him? I suddenly realize something must be done and done quickly! I asked Jagger to go check his room again and he runs off to see if he might have just not looked hard enough. As Jagger runs up stairs, I hear a little voice saying DaDa..DaDa..so I go into the nursery and my daughter Milan greets me with a smile, stomping her feet and raising her arms for me to pick her up. I say, " Good Morning Princess! Did you sleep well my precious little girl? Daddy loves you so much..." and pick her up and shower her with kisses. As I leave her room to head back to the kitchen I remember Jagger is looking for TOOTH FAIRY money. With Milan in my arms, her soft face pressed against mine, I quickly walk to my desk. I grab ten dollars out of my wallet and make a mad dash to the kitchen. I see an Eli Manning signed football and Rookie card in a brand new clear case made for the football and card to be displayed. I quickly slide the Ten Dollar bill under the display case and walk into the kitchen to get Milan something to drink. Milan loves a sippy cup full of cold water right when she wakes up in the morning. As I prepare that, Jagger runs in and says, " I guess the tooth Fairy forgot?" Playfully, I ask him a series of places the Fairy might have put it. He finally looks over to the encased Eli Manning autographed football ( jagger received this as a gift for making all A's on his report card) and runs to the kitchen table where it sits and what does he find? Ten Bucks tucked right underneath the case. I then hear him say with joy, " I found it! I bet the Tooth Fairy likes the New York Giants like I do?" I respond quickly with, " No, No, No, Just like Santa, the Easter Bunny, and for that matter, God, all love the DALLAS COWBOY'S, just like your Dad!" -:) After I hear Jagger laugh at my comment and follow up with his own..." Yea Right Dad", he comes and sits in my favorite chair with Milan and I. As I sit with both of my children, one on each side, we act silly and laugh. At this moment, I realize how truly blessed I am. Just when I thought my day could not start any better, my wife Jaclyn joins us on my chair and greets all of us with hugs, kisses, and I love you's....(yes we are a mushy family!-;)
It is mornings like this that remind me how much I love and adore my family. I hope all of you had a good morning as well. Rock on and remember, I am making an album not just to fulfill my creative needs, but for all of you who have connected with the music I created in the past. I can assure you...THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
Have a great day...Stapp
