English photographer based in Catalonia (North Eastern Spain) and away from the tourist zone! I've been living where I have for the last three years, and every day I still find something amazing to look at, and cast the Nikon over.
Recently, I have just started to get back in to working with fixed focal length lenses, limited memory on camera, shooting black and white, which I have always been in love with, and in totally manual. I cannot believe how complacent we (as photographers) have become with nigh on unlimited memory capacities, automatic systems to do most things and variable length lenses.
Photography, to me, is not about finding 'that style' and shooting only that style, it is about getting out there and taking pictures of what I see, how I feel and to provoke a reaction to what I have done.
There is nothing in the world that cannot be solved by a pot of coffee and twenty cigarettes.
