On the 15th and the 16th of April 2008 the theatre performance "Akaky A. Bashmachkin (the miracle of overcoat in two acts)" was shown at the Direction of "Open stage" project for the first time. Play by Oleg Bogaev after N. V. Gogol's masterpieces; director Vladimir Mirzoev; music by Second Hand Band. The performance is timed to the 200th anniversary of Nikolai Gogol.

The performance has been highly appreciated by critics. It is likely to be represented at the following "Golden mask" festival in the category "Experiment".

This summer Second Hand Band is also planning to release the soundtrack, created by the musical project for Vladimir Mirzoev's performance "The dragon". Three tracks from this release - as well as the other compositions by SHB - can be listened to and downloaded at the site of the group right now.
