You really can see the internet everywhere. People fluster about every day working on it, socialising with unmet souls, shouting out with their blogs, making money by delving into advertising, or even just floating about seeking random websites. It's no doubt that the western world has fallen in love with simple electrical pulses. Somehow, even though I love my work and seem to gain great thrills from it, I can't ever see myself, or ever want myself to truly call the internet home.
Can you ever remember your favourite superhero battling an evil villain trying to take over the world? You could could say that the internet is such a effective plan. The internet is a diabolical plague that has spread everywhere. It has captured the minds and souls of millions world wide. You could even say that it's the first successful large scale brainwashing machine. Well done villains, you can now take off your hats capes and relax.
My own reasons for the dislike of an internet addiction has been sprouted from watching others fall like a drunk man into late nights sitting aimlessly at the computer. They have no idea why they're doing it, or why they can't stop, but they do it anyway.
It's quite a well known fact that the stereotypical nerd can't properly communicate with those of society, but what happens when society mixes with them? People whom are addicted to websites such as Myspace and Facebook are nowadays not frowned upon for their time wasting on computer, but then the people whom make those sorts of websites and whom look like they do, are. Has society changed technological better, or is it still the same?
Ok, this may be one of my little deep thought posts in which I allow myself to fall into rambling, but have a little think about what I'm thinking about. Is the internet such a good thing to be addicted to after all or is it just something that should return to being a hobby?
Thus, I leave you to think...
