SHAKEN

Metal / Country / Christian

McComb, MS

Billboard

Tommy Killingsworth (guitar) and brothers, James Harrod (vocals) and Dean Harrod (drums) began playing music together just for fun in 2004. Shaken started out as a three piece rap-core jamband with influences consisting of: Rage Against The Machine, Disciple, Zao, and Norma Jean as well as some classic rock.
In 2005, Jake Duncan (guitar) joined the band as bassist. Soon after the decision was made to move Duncan to guitar because of his guitar playing abilities.
Shaken went through a series of bass players until Matthew Causey, a long time friend of the band, was added to the lineup in May 2007.
Over the years Shaken's music has evolved into what it is now. Duncan grew up playing country music with his father, Reggie Duncan. This has had an influence on the writing process and explains the southern/country vibe in Shaken music. Dean Harrod credits Killswitch Engage and Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) with most of his drumming influence.
Shaken has been on numerous independent self-booked tours and have recorded a total of 30 original songs. All recordings with the exception of one single have been recorded and mixed by Jake Duncan. All songs have been self-produced. Shaken's purpose is to show people the love of Christ Jesus and to rock as hard as possible in the process.

Gagosian Liga says:

"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." (Vladimir Nabokov) Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany! Feel free to download my music!
