About

Shanyio project is Alex Hegyesi's side project. Played in a couple of bands, projects from folk, rock, alternative to psychedelic. Sometimes in this project he's helped by Sasa-Liviu Stoianovici (NU & Apa Neagra) and Thomas Almadi (DNC). Alex Hegyesi is also interested in the musical heritage found in traditional Eastern Europe ... he's also a founding member of NU & Apa Neagra group, a psychedelic ethno drone from Timisoara, Romania and recorded one self-released cd "At Gardina" 2005, and the band currently finished the new material... Omag, released 2008 by the german label Lollipopshop...
Also, Shanyio collaborated on the song "Villers" with Christophe Bailleau a french musician ...and now collaborating with Hollace M. Metzger (voice/poetry) on the song Dilution ...
in december 2007 appears the first self-released album called "Uscaciune"...
2008 starts with a collaboration on "A Prayer For Living Beings" & " Lightly enough" written and recited by Ellom from Estonia and again with Hollace M Metzger (voice/poetry) on "Normandie"...
Reverb Worship label from England released the ep called 'I - X' ...The cdr comes in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies and its available now.
The 2008 ends with a collaboration on the song 'Nesfarsit' of a young poet Dan Zibarov and with the reciting of Mara...
and the beginning of 2009 starts with a wonderful contribution-collaboration to Claire Deak's wonderful project "Oceans & Wires" on a track called "Nine" you can hear it on www.myspace.com/shanyioproject
