it's been quiet for awhile on the tillman project front. but it's ok. i've been somewhat of a hermit, working and drawing, making plans and drawing, figuring out new directions and drawing. i'm still working on the relocation to durango, it hasn't gone as planned. but i planned for that, so i guess it's going according to plan. oh well, it will happen eventually, and when it does it will lead to far better things. including dairy queen blizzards. thank you durango dairy queen for being so wonderful. in the meantime, i'm keeping an eye out for potentially awesome design/illustration/maybe web freelance gigs. you know, the ones that aren't "hey i need a business card, can you put a picture of my dog on it, oh and hey do you have that comic sans font?" because i've been wading through those for two years now in design-barren northern New Mexico. so much so i actually delete comic sans from my computer so i can honestly say "no i don't have that, but you got this bro, just type it up in word, you'll be good to go." so, jobs. good jobs. big jobs. i'll close with my Christmas list: Glow-in-the-dark Monster Burp!! the tillman project is moving out of the caboose. as much fun as it has been, it's not rationally fitting in with the direction i'm wanting to push the company. this october i'm taking a small hiatus to work on illustration, revamping my website and design portfolio, settling into my new casa, finding a new quality apparel provider (if you know much about american apparel you can probably guess why), and enjoying quality bmx time before the snow hits. this winter will bring a brand new line of apparel (available through the online store). as far as red river goes, i'll have a selection of the winter apparel line available for purchase at onota bakery (www.onotabakery.com) since i basically start every day there with coffee and breakfast, and it's awesome. new things are coming, just taking a little longer than anticipated. that's life though, right?

transitions

the tillman project is going through a couple transitions, mainly the primary focus of the company. after a bit of regrouping, i've decided to take it easy this fall & winter, enjoy some bike time, some snow time, and focus on apparel design and the online store. so as of now, the caboose is open by appointment only (i'm still accepting design jobs, just a bit more selectively), and expect a new website and restocked online store during september...thanks! -clint

the new shirts have been delayed a bit, due to design service demands (most of which believe graphic design is equivalent to pizza delivery...the pizza maker just randomly throws some stuff on a crust, its dirt cheap, and it's delivered to your door in 30 minutes or less). the little things we must cling on for hope seem to be growing smaller in numbers, while disappointment and heartache are breeding like rabbits...evil rabbits that shred your ankles every time you turn a corner (mike: this makes me think about that f-ing bunnies zelda-ish song you showed me a couple years ago). but i guess it's sink or swim. so i'll tread out the new shirts (which will be bigger and better than the last series), soon. -clint

that's kind of the feel of things right now. rain. overcast. bleh. work is just catch-up stuff, trying to manage that, paperwork, accounting, etc., and hustling to get this new line of apparel out. i've been digging pretty deep for the new shirts, trying to stay true to my 'style', whatever that is. anyway, what i've got so far is turning out to be some of the best stuff yet. soon, soon. i'm headed up to durango pretty soon to scope out the city, the dairy queen, some possible retail spaces, the dairy queen, the skatepark, and the dairy queen. i'm thinking about relocating, if things look good. its all really up in the air, i'm completely winging it. anyway, i'll have shirt sketches and stuff up soon, thanks for checking in! -clint
