SHEAHAN DRIVE recordings is the name under which Gus Franklin currently runs his studio recording and musical practices out of a shared studio space in East Brunswick. Eventually, the Sheahan Drive name may comprise some kind of label under which Franklin and other like-minds may release dark-hearted Australiana pop and folk music that represents the Sheahan Drive moniker.
The name comes from a sign that can be found in Gundagai in Southern NSW. The artist who designed the sign, or the signs' maker is not credited at the sight, but i believe it to be a brilliant representation of the dark-hearted isolation of Australia and it's heritage.
Right Now...this virb.com site is a space where my folio for applying to the Department of Safety's Artist in Residence program, can reside in peace. (see blog for details)
