Potato Soup

Now, this is the best potato soup recipe in the world and if you disagree you are stupid.

You'll need the following items:

Potatoes of the Idaho variety.
Milk.
1 stick of butter.
Salt.
Pepper.
1/2 cup diced white onion or dried onion flakes.
Saltine crackers.

Peel and cut the potatoes into the same size chunks so they cook evenly and put into a pan. Cover with enough water so they are barely submerged. Add a bit of salt, pepper and the onion. Turn the heat on high and cook the potatoes until you can stick a fork in them and they break up easily and than mash them.

Add roughly the amount of milk that you added water, or just increase the volume of the soup 200% and add the stick of butter. You'll want to heat this on medium-low until the soup is evenly heated throughout.

The secret is adding enough saltine crackers per bowl that you can eat it with a fork. I often add a bit more salt and pepper on my soup as well.

Its the best. Seriously.
