Acceptance

It's not about "allowing" people to be who they are - that implies a sense of superiority and interference/control in the affairs of others. Maybe a better word is "accept" - we must learn to accept people, flaws and all. And we must learn to accept ourselves, flaws and all.

The Village Idiot

A few days ago I wrote this on Facebook:

The best job in the world must be Village Idiot, who is free from the horrors of conformity, intellect and materialism.

Allow me to expand on this idea.....

The intellectual goes to work, sits in the corner of the office in front of the computer screen. 12 hours later he produces a piece of software that generates Haiku using a complex set of rules and dictionary files.

The village idiot gets up in the middle of the morning and goes for a walk in the forest, watches the animals and birds, and admires the flowers. Or he goes down to the beach, just sits and listens. On a good day there's ice cream.

Inspired by nature, our village idiot jots down a Haiku, it is finely crafted in its zen-like simplicity.

Villiage Idiot. Not a bad job. The money isn't much, but who cares?
