S.K.E.T. is a rhythmic noise project heading from Rostock, former East-Germany. S.K.E.T. was formed in 1999 by two individuals calling themselves unit298_09 and unit299_09. Both of them have been making music with various projects since 1994. Having grown up with harsh noises in heavy industrial area, they still miss those sounds and recreate these through the beats and atmospheres in their music. Besides hard industrial sounds they are inspired by proletarian and martial propaganda-art of 40's till 70's. Their main goal is to create highly danceable rhythmic noise mixed with authentic soundscapes of DDR industries. In 2004 they were signed to Hands Productions, one of the most respected labels in the scene. The first official album "Aktivist" was released soon after - in 2005. "Aktivist" is an energetic blend of progressive industrial and rhythm 'n' noise - clever vocal samples, brutal merciless beats and dynamic flows! "Baikonur" followed shuttle-like, launched in june 2006, taking us off from Mother Earth straight up to the stars! "Baikonur" is a coherent concept album dedicated to Soviet Space Program, a tribute to technological progress and to greatness of mankind's dreams. Harsh beats recreating the pulse of fast progress which changed the World for ever, underlayered with smooth melodies of hopeful dreams and great visions! A journey through space, time and human minds.
