S.K.E.T. is a duo haling from Rostock. They seem to be influenced by all kind of old communist propaganda. After 2 self-released CDs they in 2004 signed to Hands. The official debut is definitely one of the best productions I've heard on the label for exploring refreshing, modern industrial fields. S.K.E.T. likes to mix industrial and techno influences with each other. It's not innovative at all, but the way they elaborate their compositions, creating fascinating techno vibes sounds brilliant! The opening cut "Warholic" directly shows what their sound is all about. The next cut entitled "Revolution of the pigs" goes a step further. I here perceive some earlier M² influences, which have been transposed into heavier dance vibes and techno influences. The samplings of the "Center of evil" confirm their political commitment, which inspires their music. It here is a look-back to the American 'supremacy' symbolized by their president. Other tracks like "Isolator 3", "Komsomolez" and "Non ballad" bring us back to the powerful and progressive industrial sound of those noise-terrorists. I perceive this band as one of the most progressive artists in the contemporary industrial style. They dare to innovate by exploring other influences, creating a perfect mix while holding on the industrial basis of their work! This is a brilliant piece of music! (DP:8/9)DP.
