skientist is an electronic musician residing in tampa. shapes and numbers (2007) is a concept ep made entirely with a 6 second voice sample and a single cycle 220Hz sine wave. no other samples or synthesizers were used. through digital signal processing and precise edits, this limited source material has been transformed into complex syncopated melodies and rich evolving soundscapes, drawing a stark contrast to unusual, deceptively simple beats.
