Introducing my "Through the Viewfinder Contraption"
The thing expands up to 18". Not that I would need to use it that long, but still it is pretty cool.
By the time I completed my contraption, there really was not enough light to use it to make pics. So I experimented with some macro photography to get a better feel for my camera [a Fujifilm s1000fd].
I'm pretty happy with the depth in this. I had the camera in manual mode, ISO set to 100, high speed shots with aperture in the mid range. Here is a full zoom.
The last pic has a nice focus on the glass table and the skull is slightly blurred/out of focus. It was a neat mistake.
