About
SOIREÉ, a Pasig City-based quintet band formed in September 11, 2005. Commemorating with different guitar riffs, pulverizing screams, grindcore-like drum beating, and hell-raising bass scaling, heartfelt kind of lyrics like no other, diabolically kind of stuff. At their very young ages, surprises the people by their performances. These aspiring young and talented persons forming a post-hardcore band is a great addition especially in the underground scene. The band cope in a line-ups with Hardcore & Metal bands. The genre itself for naming SOIREE's music is Screamo/Straight-edge Hardcore. The mission of the band is very unusual, to spread the message within their songs what it means to. Being recognized by other people is not the basis of knowing SOIREE, they just want to express their beliefs not to impress other people. Focusing on their own songs differently from their influences & other bands.
Before SOIREE, other members came from a band was also known as "NO BUDGET". The most promising punk-rock/hardcore/jam band genre in Pasig City since 2002, such a typical kind of band we're SOIREE have been. The line-up was a 5-piece band where DHU & EMAK in guitars, JET on vocals, DANJO on drums, and ERIC on bass.
Months past by, ERIC left the band without notice so that our band was distracted because of him.
Few months later of being stuck, DHU introduces LEM to us as our bassist temporarily and TOOTZ added to the band as our guitarist. LEM jammed on us within at least 3 weeks, we decided to take him up and permanently be our bassist. And both of our responses same as him. LEM was awesome than our previous bassist after all.
Our first name was "ANOREXIA". We decided to change the name to forget the most tragic event we're been encountered, also the genre of the band. And we want something heavier like we do from our previous status of musicality, and be part of some kind of nostalgic sound produced by our own.
Our band is now performing well, as our expecting towards the problem that we took of. The big break for SOIREÉ is the production of Mood Vibration, held at JAM 218 in November 12, 2005 wherein EMAK receives the "BEST LEAD GUITARIST" award on said production. And we're very happy on EMAK 'cause he's too lazy to make leads (hahaha, just kidding...) but we're very thankful for that despite of.
Now DHU leave the band, and we're still have the chance to perform without him from the days we have gigs. It just quite simple that without him, we can go as far as we need to know. Likewise, thanks for having him for a couple of months he contributed to this band.
