SOUL MINORITY - Soul Thing (Stratospherik) After the success of the 'Cosmic Force' remix for Andy Cato (Pack Up And Dance Recordings), Soul Minority shows no sign of losing stride with this release. My pick of the three-track EP is 'Soul Thing' - simply, deep house done right. The arrangement is subtle and soulful without being overwhelming, and great drums, chords and silky bassline grab your attention right away. The instantly recognizable sample from Eddie Amador doesn't take away from the deep house goodness; it's actually a pleasant surprise. The cut has a vibe like all those Guidance records we know and love. Highly recommended.
