CASTING CALL:

I am currently seeking RI area musicians to perform the music I have written, along with some great NES covers. Currently, I'm in the process of building a triple-concept-album entitled Triptych of Moribund Flights.

The trilogy's prime end is to recount the rise and account for the death of fantasy as way of life. Semi-autobiographically, the music serves as a illustrative narrative while grandeur becomes reality over the course of three indulgent musical dreamscapes -- where each of the three albums ultimately resolves with the victory of realized grandeur in three interconnected realms: the internal (self), the interpersonal (love), the external (politics & society).

In each of the three albums, I use a castle as a conceptual anchor -- the castle takes on three different forms, functioning as a new point of reference with new significance, with regards to the realm involved.

The 3 albums are 10 songs each, a full 70 minutes and linked conceptually. Intertwined therein, NES music arouses nostalgia and aids conceptual development where appropriate. In a live setting, the NES covers may take a more prominent role.

As completed, Spires would be a large band consisting of:

2 bassists (one bassist would move between rhythm guitar and bass according to the song)
2 keyboardists
a vocalist (probably me)
a percussionist (experience on chimes is necessary)
a lead guitarist
a drummer
All band members will probably contribute background vocals.
