"I was sample digging and checking out this Armand Van Helden track. He had sampled the old guitarist’s (Andy Taylor) from Duran Duran‘s solo album. The second track is called, “Don’t Let Me Die Young.” It ended up being a good pop song I wanted to mess with but never got around to. So, in a nerdy round about way, I took my name from that. And yes, I’d love to have a long career ending with my dying old in Florida or somewhere comparably warm."
