I make cheapo electronic music, inspirations are lots of fine musicians. i like snare rolls and square wave volume lfos that makes sounds stutter like robots. Send me a dollar so I can buy a new soundcard.
Here is a list of older downloadable musics from Stelf.

Combinations, the 5th installment of the All-Stelf mix series has hit the virtual streets. Click the image below to skip the waffle.
Yes, it's another collection of my musical efforts from the past year, of course crafted with an incredible amount of time, effort, blood, and sweat, which will generate next to no interest. Hooray for the internet! Without it, only my friends would be subjected to this audio waffle.
This year i had somewhat of an epiphany. I realised that instead of trying and failing to make drum & bass by the rules (LOLO!), i should just enjoy what is basically a hobby and one of the few sources of sanity & joy in my life. So instead of trying to make drum & bass, i made some drum & bass-ish nonsense and just called it electronica at drum & bass tempo. Never underestimate the power of denial.
Anyone who has listened to my previous mixes will be prepared for this installment of the all-Stelf series. But this one is all about reigning in, less is more, minimalinityness and streamlining all the aspects of my musical creationing process. I'm still a big fan of semi-lo-fi and while I big up all the dudes who got ultra-clean mixing down sorted i'm still shit at it. So i'll pretend i don't care and say it's about the vibes and the ride and the oaky timbre.
To anyone who hasn't listened to my mixes before.... I take a small amount of pride in trying different things with my music... you won't hear me trying to bite anyone's style - there's enough producers doing that already. On this mix, you'll here some staple drum & bass sounds if you listen hard enough, but i'm not that bothered about rehashing sounds you've heard a million times before. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I make music for myself but if anyone else likes it thats good too. By the way, All-Stelf Volume 4 was alright as well, but there was some shit on there too.
Props to Tris @ Newcastlebeats.com (cheers for the hosting fella, you're a diamond), John Spectra (thanks for being a second set of ears), my mate Raffa (the bloke i go to first when i finish something and my biggest fan) and anyone who's ever encouraged me in any way. Much appreciated.
Finally, what serious musical release would be complete without a bio in the third person? Stelf is a citizen of the world, currently located in Brisbane, Australia. He draws his musical influences from all sorts but has a particular fondness for oldschool jungle, bluenote era drum and bass, proper techstep, ambient and detroit technos and electronic music in general. He also likes big guitars making power chords but only in short bursts because he gets too emotional which conflicts with his general state of detachment. Finally, his experience in working in the video games industry for over a decade has taught him that the fastest way to fuck up something you love doing is to get paid to do it. Free music 4 eva!
