Word on the Street

"Jacobson is in fine production hands on this radio-ready sounding CD...an artist who performs her own crafty tunes with plenty of drive and skill." - TOP 25 Demos of the Year - 2005, Music Connection

"With her new EP, Stephanie Jacobson positions herself as the forerunner in the next wave of Boston's female power pop contingent. Her songs are reminiscent of the kind of guitar-driven pop muscles that Tracy Bonham or Letters to Cleo once flexed, with a bit more radio-readiness and lot more attitude."
- Performer Magazine

"...Jacobson's songs make perfectly delicious poprocks, by adding just enough cheer with the right amount of devastation." -NOMASONHA

"It was the strong voice and catchy songs that attracted me to them... Stephanie has the makings of a musician we might see touring the world..."-168 Magazine

"The EP is slickly produced. Her voice is confident...the songs succeed in rocking quite well."
-The Noise Magazine

"Jacobson's songwriting approach is very personal yet it transcends her world to make sense in ours. Pop-laden hooks and catchy lyrics, along with vocals reminiscent of another Boston fave, Kay Hanely, Jacobson is truly poised to make her mark."- ARTIST OF THE MONTH, LowellRocks.com

"There is a refreshing and palpable sense of honesty and straightforwardness in Jacobson's songs, which sets her EP apart from the crowd."-Avoidperil.com

My Version of the Truth...

Born and raised in Billerica, Massachusetts, singer-songwriter STEPHANIE JACOBSON is a former Catholic schoolgirl whose musical tastes and fashion sense just never quite fit in. In true charming misfit style, she picked up a guitar at the age of thirteen and has been writing and recording ever since, completing her first ep in 2003. An impressive debut, Consciously Pathetic ep combined the 90s rock elements she grew up hearing with a modern female pop rock style. Her follow up in late 2006, Three Chord Love ep, is a testament to her continued inspiration from heartbreak, sarcasm, humor and hope, as well as solid evidence of artistic growth.

Stephanie has also lent her musical talents to recordings by The Flying Tourbillon Orchestra, as heard on L.A.'s Indie 103.1, and folk/pop outfit The Fast Sails.

Both Consciously Pathetic and Three Chord Love were produced by Ted Comerford (Scott Simons, Zox, Colorslide) and mixed by Paul David Hager (Avril Lavigne, Goo Goo Dolls, Pink), and are currently available on iTunes.
