Stephen picked up a guitar for the first time when he was 12 years old. He started playing his brother's guitar when he was out of the house, simply listening to music & trying to play what he heard.
Influences include The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Stone Roses, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, B.B King, Muddy Waters, ELO, Mark Knopfler, Stevie Wonder, Chet Atkins, Doyle Dykes, Eric Roche, Antonio Forcione, Phil Keaggy, The Waifs, Over The Rhine, Robert Plant, Alison Krauss, Foy Vance, Andy McKee and Johnny Dickinson to name just a few. Stephen's perception and understanding of music & guitar playing took on a new direction when he was 18 after hearing the Australian guitarist Tommy Emmanuel.
Aspiring to be better and teaching others to play are the two things that consume this artist
