Still Suburbia offers their debut album, 'Chasing The Optimist', after forming just 13 months ago. "The album is a about where we are during this time in our lives," says Simon (guitar, vocals), "I feel we are only at the tip of the iceberg."
The unique mix of indie pop and jazz, bubbles forth to create the sound that is Still Suburbia. With members between the ages of 17 and 19, the band has nothing but a positive future ahead of them.
"Chasing The Optimist is not just an album of fragmented ideas, it is a complete work" Elliot Heinrich - The Vagrant City Scandal
Still Suburbia formed in June 2006, and has continued to write and record since. "Our main goal is to enjoy what we do, and hopefully relate to people through our music in the process", says the bands drummer Jacob Trotter. Paul (keys, vocals) recalls when the band first played together, "We played our first song together in a band competition we won after 3 hours of rehearsal, it was like, instant chemistry."
"We hope that the album really encourages people to be all they can be, and use what they have been given to make a difference."
