Bob and Strings Attached in Church
Its the Weekend and you've got a bit of downtime hopefully to look forward the next week. Why don't you just lie down on the nearest couch. Get yourself really comfortable. You are now feeling very sleepy. It might be helpful at this point to get your partner in musical crime to read this to you. Count backwards from 5, 4. . .3 . . 2...1 At the end of reading this email, you will feel the deepest at peace with yourself when and only if you reach for your calendar and put down Friday's show with Bob Schneider and Strings Attached.
You feel even more peace when you click the provided link to hear the spiritual sounds of Bob's song "The Other Side" arranged with strings and mute trumpet.
Friday's shows at St. David's Church in Downtown Austin will unveil a new feature: beer and wine provided by Wildwood Wines.
Our last shows with Bob in 2006 were completely sold out so get your tickets now while they last.
Here's a review of last years show:
I've never been disappointed at a Bob Schneider show, and I've never known anyone who stumbled onto one of Bob's performances and didn't leave as a disciple ready to spread the word. I've seen Bob perform under a few different arrangements. As lead of the Scabs, he has an opportunity to push the limits of raunchiness, singing with the Texas Bluegrass Massacre, he can put a country twist and instrumentation to his masterpieces, and as a solo artist, he has an opportunity to go from mainstream rock to experimental electronica. My 11-year old daughter has become a big Bob Schneider fan, but I've always had to regulate what songs she's heard, and I'd never risk taking her to one of his live shows until she gets a little older. But a unique opportunity presented itself. Bob Schneider hooked up with Will Taylor to perform with Strings Attached during their regular performance season. read more. . Our newest Studio release recorded in the homey rooms of Hideout Studios nestled in beatiful Barton Hills - just up the road from Flipnotics.
The complete album performed with straight reads and a few complete recreations. Hear Papa Malia perform When I'm 64 with a New Orleans growl. Will Walden and Will Taylor created an insane version of "MR. Kite" that molds tango, funk, and a bit of bluegrass.
We even did our own anachic climax within the classic "A Day in the Life".
