Tempting the curfew - successfully

My friends Bob and Patsy are getting stir-crazy by staying at home during the strictly enforced 8pm curfew. In a typically New Orleans calculation they figured they could probably run across the street from their home for the 11:00 pm drag show at Big Daddys Bar without being arrested and stored in the temporary jail at Camp Greyhound. The bar is packed with rowdy celebrants and three drag queens are working way too hard to pull off this show's extensive costume changes. Thirty minutes into the show a convoy of military vehicles with armed National Guard soldiers roars up to the bar and soldiers jump off with assault rifles drawn. The vastly outgunned bar patrons and way-too-young military guys are both imagining the worst possible situation until the Guards eyes and brains focus on the reality of the situation. They start laughing and shouldering their rifles and a few of the Arkansas Guard even remain to watch the show, albeit through the window. These Arkansas Guard members then call other patrols to come by and the joke repeats for hours with bar patrons, queens, and the newly arriving soldiers laughing at each other throughout the night.
