Summer of glaciers is a bird's eye-view of the city; the frantic pace and congestion, the quiet moments in unexpected places, the isolation despite proximity to thousands, the kindness of strangers, contagious panic, safety in numbers, sleepless nights, sacrifices to stay above, and the promise that when you wake up tomorrow, you will add one more element to this perpetual equation.
Or you could just see it as hopeful melancholic music with a good beat. Which ever way works best for you.
These Last Days is now available through CD Baby!
MP3 album $3.99, CD with limited hand screened cover only $6.00
REVIEWS:
There's something epic about the music that Summer of Glaciers makes. Floating in limbo somewhere between electronica and rock, little more than an electric guitar and programmed drums provide the foundation for what they refer to as a "wordless story." Their music intriguingly unfolds with a slow build, and you begin to understand exactly what they mean. A story consists of a setup, a build to a climax, and then an ending that tapers it to a close. Summer of Glaciers weave suspenseful tales with sound.
