About Summersteps Records
Summersteps Records is a micro-indie label from the backwoods of rural Moscow, PA. Founded by Eric Schlittler and Cassie Rose Kobeski in 1996 as a handmade cassette label and then growing to manufactured CDs, the label labors to expose wild, fragile, obscure and beautiful music. Summersteps has released two homages to Texas based enigma Jandek. Volumes 1 & 2 include contributions from such gifted musicians as Low, Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, Brother JT, The Mountain Goats, Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth, Bright Eyes, Okkervil River, Six Organs Of Admittance, Retsin and Kawabata Makoto of Acid Mothers Temple just to name a few. Summersteps also boasts a number of releases by artists including Kid Icarus, Lewis & Clarke, Brother JT and Psychatrone Rhonedakk among others.
