So yesterday was turkey day, or "Thanksgiving" for the pilgrims. I decided not to write anything yesterday because It was a family day, and nobody would be reading it anyway. Today is a day of shopping and many won't be home to read this, so I'll be brief.
Thanksgiving is just that, a day for giving thanks. Turkey is what we're told was eaten on the first Thanksgiving day, but why? Why must we always eat turkey? Surely there are other foods just as good. Now being on a diet, I could not eat anything but turkey in this feast. I do believe now that no other food, whether cow, pig, or some other bird, would be the same for Thanksgiving.
So why do we eat turkey? We just do! Leave the tradition alone.
