With house music there are two types of people:Male/Female. There are guys who like their house "girly"(Diva vocals,Hammond organs and piano solos) and there are girls that like their house "boyie"(dark, funky and bass driven). So house music is beyond genders, yet to me can be gender specific. What I like to do when I mix is get my dancefloor into the groove(a catchy vocal set), once they are mine I'll take them on a dark journey through deep basslines, errie/dark sounds and when they think the "woods" are going to swallow them whole, Showthem patches of light, you can see the end of the tunnel when you start to funk it up a bit. After that it's just a matter of building my set until the crowd just wants to burst...Then "set them free".After dancing for awhile the endorphins have kicked in and are just begging to unleash a freny of smiles and sweat. So you can say I cater to both sides of the house calling card by playing all kinds of house...I just like to funk with their heads while I do.
So how do you like your house?
