Why hello there!
(y helo thar!)
My name is Kristen, I'm a half-asian physics major at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. I really like physics and math, so it makes sense for me to become a physicist.
(I'm kb, a really smart ninja at Virginia Tech)
I suppose I'll start off with what I like to do in my spare time. I like to cook and bake things.. Not the greatest chef ever, but I can at least cook myself dinner if need be. I suppose I'm just really good at following recipes, because that's not terribly difficult. But Henry says I have some sort of instinct too that helps with when I randomly add ingredients into something rather than measuring. Cooking may be nice like that, but baking requires measuring!! and if you don't do it right, well you won't be able to fix it. I'm having difficulties with our current oven because it tends to burn things unevenly sometimes, so hopefully the next one is better in that sense. If I weren't a physics major I would have loved to have gone to pastry school :D, but for now I'll just practice at home.
(I cook foods.)
I also like drawing and photography. I used to be that weird girl in high school that hung out with all the druggies and delinquents, but drew cute anime pictures all the time. So I'm good at that kind of drawing. Not good at drawing real people, though I am getting better, I just need practice. I also love taking pictures, but I'm just an amateur photographer. I also love just taking pictures that aren't necessarily "art" just taking them for fun. If you want to check it out, I posted a few pictures here, but my deviantart is http://azalie.deviantart.com/ I haven't done any drawings lately, but will hopefully be getting back into that this summer.
(I'm a walking azn stereotype)
I just found out that I am underweight, by somewhere between 5 and 25 pounds, depending on the website. I was at a healthy weight back over winter, so I recently lost that weight. I was kidding about needing to lose 5 pounds! I really just needed to stay at a good weight! This happens too often. Damn my inability to eat quickly or eat a lot and damn my fast metabolism (though, I probably won't be saying that in a few years.)
(fat azns don't exist. seriously. if they are fat, it's a trap.)

this year is going to be awesome, I can already tell because the start I've gotten has been amazing.
This summer has been pretty sub-par. I didn't have a job all summer besides undergraduate research and I barely did any of that because my professor was gone so I've …

So here I am in my living room writing a blog when really, I should be writing a program for Dr. Park. Well, it's more for my benefit, but whatever.
I'm giving a talk on August 1st in that really nice room on the 3rd floor of Robeson at 4pm if anyone is interested …
