"Bedwetter" Wins Grand Prize at Xto Awards!

I was able to make it to the opening night of the Xto Awards in DUMBO, Brooklyn - and it's a good thing I did because my pretty ice cream blondie took home the big prize for illustration! Big thanks to Nicole Dominguez for doing such a wonderful job putting on a lovely show.

Opening Reception: Farmani Gallery 111 Front Street, Suite 212, DUMBO Brooklyn July 9, 2009 6-9pm The first-ever Xto Nude Image Awards Winners exhibition will be held at the Farmani Gallery in Dumbo, Brooklyn July 9-18, 2009. My piece "Bedwetter" has won first place for Illustration/Fine Art. The first and second runners up will be showcased in the gallery and run through July 18th. Winners were chosen from among more than 1,000 pieces of work submitted from 53 countries. We're heading back east that week so I will be stopping by the reception - this will be the first time I have shown something in NYC :)

"Bedwetter" Wins 1st Place Illustration/Fine Art in Xto Awards

I woke up this morning to discover that my pretty ice cream blondie won 1st place in the Fine Art/ Illustration category of the Xto Image Awards The 1st and 2 place pieces will be exhibited in a gallery show in New York City July 9-16, where the grand prize winners will be announced. The jury consisted of a great assortment of people; Robert Berman, Drome Magazine, Jugular NYC, Max Magazine - so I am stoked - it's a nice vindication that digital art is just as "real" of an art form as a painting thank you very much :)

We just got back from the 2009 Seattle Erotic Art Festival and we really fell in love with that city! I've posted on Female Persuasion about a few of my favorite artists and performers from the show - some of which are in this photo. It was a fun - and interesting!- experience.

i'm working on a collaboration with super fresh new zealand artist Samapeap Tarr
we're both fascinated with ufo's (he's seen one) and aliens (my favorite movie) so going off of that i sketched out this little alien girl to play with...
