Let's see. I'm a part owner of a interactive company that creates 3D animation and interactive web things. Illumen Studios
I'm still fairly new to the Chicago area so if anyone has any suggestions for good food places, hangouts, or just plain interesting spots let me know. Actually "new" means I've been in the area 2 yrs and thus "I work too damn much, and forsaking the socialization of mine own self."
My brain stores vast amounts of useless information. Skewed heavily toward 3d animation, special fx, movie making, and just general nonsense. I probably would have problems with a simple algebra problem but can give you all the details and working theory behind Mental Ray SSS shaders. (If you followed that then bravo because I didn't)
Overall I'm a coffee junkie who loves sushi and new food experiences. I have a weakness for sharp wit and a biting sarcasm. I love movies of all sorts and am (almost?) proud that 2/3 of my DVD collection was for the special features more than the movie. (Star Wars ep.1-3 anyone?) I have a voracious appetite for reading and can devour 5-6 books in a month. (If it ain't 800 pages it ain't worth read'n)
Nightmare Before Christmas, anything Miyazaki, Pixar (need I say more), Star Wars, Monty Python, Beetlejuice, Spinal Tap
House, Penn & Teller's Bullshit, Family Guy, Simpsons, CSI, History channel stuff, Mythbusters, Rome
Sci-fi related. Brookes, Eddings, Jordan, Williams, too many to name. I read about 4-5 books a month.
2D & 3D art, animation, photography, politics, religion, skepticism
