About two weeks ago our CIO had called for a Town Hall meeting again. I actually missed most of the call because there's only Carl and myself on site, and we both happen to be working. When I rang in the Questions and Answers had begun. So I missed most of the information being put out there, I was able to get out with "What is happening to our group FTS?" The reply came quickly. The CIO replied "You guys are no longer in scope, we (Corp & IBM) have looked at what you do and ya'll just don't fit into the picture." So now here we are three months after being told we'd be going to IBM, they've reversed the decision to get rid of our group. The adjustment sort of settled in that we're being given a great opportunity to work for one of the biggest IT companies out there. They happen to be one of the hardest companies to get in with, and now that's been taken away. It was almost like a punch in the gut, or handing a kid a cute puppy and then taking it away from them. But, this has gotten me thinking about where I'm going from here. I've been working on my certifications and getting back into school in January. I don't want to be left behind with my pants around my ankles and unaware of what I can or can't do. On another note Angie and I will have been married
