Hello everyone. I'm Michael (or Mikey as most of my friends call me). I moved to Newport in late 2006. I work at Medallion Foods as a parts cage clerk. I've been working there since February 2005. I like my job (it's really easy but sometimes boring), and the people I work with are pretty cool too. I miss my friends living in Little Rock, Memphis, and elsewhere, but I'm looking to make new friends as well. Hopefully I can find some people around here who share similar interests as I do.
I absolutely love going to clubs, raves, house parties, and other various electronic music events when work allows. I have listened to electronic music since I was about 13, and have been attending events since late 1999. Music is an enormous part of my life. I don't think I could exist without it! I am a DJ (though admittedly a work in progress), and I spin a variety of music, ranging from techno, house, breaks, electro, and trance every now and then. I also make mixes from time to time for anyone willing to listen.
Equally important as music to me are my friends. They pretty much ARE my family, since I seem to have been disowned by my real family due to association. It's a long, unfortunate story that I won't get into here. I love and value each and every one of my friends (even if I don't always call or keep in touch. I suck at that sometimes)!
There really isn't much of anything interesting to say about myself otherwise. Working third shift - AND on weekends - doesn't give a person much of a chance to socialize. I read, do sudoku puzzles, and play video games in my spare time. I also like to take pictures, but not professionally or anything. (can't wait to break in my digicam!) If there's anything any of you would like to know, all you have to do is ask. I'm normally a pretty shy person and don't usually initiate a conversation - at least until I get to know you.
