The back-story is that our drummer Dan Gaskill was at the Martha's Vineyard "town rager" when he kidney punched who he thought was his old friend and Unbusted/Billionaires singer Joe Keefe. It turned out to be Conor Oberst, plastered as all hell. After a sincere apology, they talked briefly about Conor's punk band Desaparecidos before Connor asked Dan if he was currently in a band. Feeling a little uncomfortable, probably due to the fact that this critically acclaimed musician was screaming saliva laden nonsense in his ear, Dan attempted to create some space between them and jokingly tells Conor that he is a 'Close Talker'. Thinking that was the answer to the initial question, Conor exclaims that it is the greatest band name he has ever heard.
