About

The Adoring Mess is a music project by 24-year-old Will Taylor. He's creating lyrically confessional worship music - going in a direction that wavers from the current trend of upbeat corporate worship anthems. His songs are prayerful and scriptural, and they seek to embrace fallen humanity with God's love. His music expresses the theme that we as humans have flaws, and we should not hide them; we should confess them.

He's also a writer and novice photographer. Below are some of his photos. Look at the blog for some poetry and social commentary.

This is no …

One last drive
Through the smoggy, surreal streets.
One last look
Into blue eyes and sunsets.
The end of a three-month age is here.

Goodbye
My brief, impersonal friend.
Goodbye
My …

Gagosian Liga, May 20, 2008:

"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." (Vladimir Nabokov)
