About
My name is Christian Carl. I am The Artificial Hearts. I make homemade electro folk shoegaze on my 8-track in the middle of the suburban night. I record everything directly into my recorder. No amps. Just me, my guitar, bass, drum machine, and synth, and my headphones. I am currently working on my second release. My first was titled "Heavy Rock" and you can download it off of iTunes or buy it at undertowmusic.com. I am currently in search of a new label. I create everything by ear. I put my fingers places on my instruments and make sounds I like. Then I mix them with more sounds till I have filled 7 tracks. I save the last for vocals. And then I stop. I don't know what chords or notes I am playing, but I just love putting sounds together. I have thought about really learning how to play, but I think my lack of knowledge is what makes my music simple and honest. I hope you enjoy it.
