Here's a haiku about what touring has been like so far. (Week 1 of 8) Expect more of these later. I'm sorry or you're welcome.

We're heading into our next tour in a week which will push our number of shows played this year well past the 100 mark. A goal we set out to accomplish at the beginning of the year and something that we hope to double in 2009. And through all of those shows, we've been able to experience many places and artists we felt deserved a nod of the head or an overly expressed cat call for what they are doing.

I've made it out to Seattle four times. Each time the weather has been unbeatable. Sun shining, sky blue, green life growing in the midst of downtown, and beautiful architecture. Honestly, I'm starting to believe that locals tell everyone it rains all the time as a ploy to keep the city to themselves. I'm on to you Seattle...and I like it.

The entire evening was filled with songs that feel alive. As if each one has its own life, own breath. So as they were played you weren't just listneing to a good tune, but experiencing the life lived to get those lyrics and melodies.
It was beautiful.

So it's Friday morning...
it's 11:38am...
and I'm still sitting in my bed on my computer.
Now, please don't assume that this is my life every morning, it so happens that I do not have a temp job today (please keep an eye open for my upcoming manifest "nobody's just a temp") and I am not quite at the point yet where I feel disgusting for still being in bed.

I love Ikea. It's easy to say why. I don't want to sound like the person who has fallen into the cultural trap of buying useless leather sofas to replace their old micro suede couch that went out of style, but Ikea is the marvel of all department stores. Nowhere will you find everything that you need at a cheaper price including Swedish meatballs, which are only 4.95.
Due to a malfunction in the space-time continuum Colorado doesn't have Ikea...
