REVIEWS! REVIEWS! REVIEWS!

Hello All,

We'll we've gotten some great feedback about the new album and our shows and we want to share it with you, because let's face it, we're in all in this together ;)

"Tifah, on the other hand, turned in a stellar performance as polished
as it was enchanting. With her jet-black pigtails and black plastic
frames, Tifah Al-Attas, the band's namesake and leader, has a quaint,
Mary Katherine Gallagher look that belies her majestic voice. Her
mates, meanwhile, exhibit masterful dynamic sensibilities and have a
commanding on-stage presence."

"I'm obsessing over Tifah's Safe & Sound, which at times sounds so
much like the work of Joni Mitchell that I have to continually remind
myself it's not."

Finding more local bang for the byte.

"Dealing with matters of the soul and the spirit without insipidly
cloying evangelical religiosity gets to the real heart of love, of
loss, of personal tribulation and elation in the belief that we are
not alone in the universe. Tifah deals with these issues in a
passionate manner without the emotional hyperbole that seems to have
permeated so much of today's emo based pop, and that too many
inexperienced "local" artists seem to be cursed with. Her's is the
steady hand, the angelic voice, poised to be claimed by the listener's
ears and heart, and rewarded with repeated listens, and faithful
recommendations. Grade as a "local" release: A."

"Like a post-collegiate Fiona Apple jamming with Snow Patrol, Al-Attas and her band serve up a violin-rich, piano-drenched sincerity topped off with a voice that's wise and heartbroken beyond its years"

"Colorado's Tifah Al-Attas displays a wonderful voice vocal style reminiscent of Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan, and Amy Lee of Evenescence, and her talented songwriting stands out on this new album. Produced in Houston, Texas by Robbie Seay, Safe & Sound is an emotive and mature work by an artist exploring the challenges, heartaches, and successes of life. Full of reflections on vulnerability, loss, recovery, and survival, one gets the sense that the composer has experienced real human growth and is now ready to emerge. Leading her very capable band on keyboards, Tifah is accompanied by guitarist Reid Phillips, drummer Dann Stockton, bassist Juli Royster, and violinist Aubrea Alford. Alford particularly shines on the atmospheric violin interlude "Requiem," which segues beautifully into the expressive "Closet." Safe & Sound's cover depicts a valentine heart, bound and hanging from the rafters of a stage with a backdrop of painted stars...through staring Tifah's journey, we ultimately learn that, as is written int he stars themselves, Love Wins."
