The Bird Ensemble is a Nashville based group dedicated to an American heritage. Appreciating the jazz-fusion and minimalist movements of the late 1960s / early '70s, it also finds its place within the current post-rock movement. The Ensemble intends to bridge a gap between romantic and methodological music and is committed to live recordings. Migration is their first recording. It was recorded live at RCA-B Victor on Music Row in Nashville on September 1-2, 2006. The goal was to make an album that did not have to rely on overdubs for a full sound. In 2007, the band plans to continue writing and recording while beginning to perform throughout the South. Our CD can be purchased by clicking on the image link to the right.

I am glad you guys found me. It is not that often that I hear a new band, a local one at that I think is worth a damn. I love your creative compositions! I hope that show with Unwed Sailor went well last week.. I have seen them a few times and they are awesome, same thing with The Mercury Program. I will catch you guys live soon.
