The Fire Tonight began as a group of friends playing music, but it became readily apparent that the collaboration could be much more. While the original album by lead singer Collin Derrick was very much an indie solo project, the band's sound has grown to encompass the arena rock stylings of guitarist Jamie Heiting, and the powerfully untraditional drumming of Stephen Russ. Through this transition Collin Derrick's songwriting and vocals have remained as honest and unorthodox as ever. The combination of backgrounds and influences has produced a desire to craft each and every song in a different way than the last. This drive coupled with an electric live show has propelled the band into a regional act that calls any number of cities home.

Thanks for the props guys! I'm enjoying your music as well. It's pretty cool to hear a song about a road I drive on at least a couple of times a week. The lyrics are so true...
